Elden Ring is already a massive game on your first playthrough, but once you enter New Game Plus (NG+), the world opens up in new and rewarding ways. Enemies hit harder, drop more runes, and—most interestingly—some Elden Ring items become available that weren’t accessible before.
Whether you're chasing rare loot or just looking to complete your collection, NG+ introduces a handful of new or previously unobtainable items. These aren’t radically game-changing, but for completionists and build enthusiasts, they’re worth hunting down.
Here are 14 items you can only get in NG+, along with tips on where and how to find them.

1. Second Memory Stones
You can only equip eight Memory Stones total, but you can pick up extras in NG+. While duplicates don’t stack, having another gives you flexibility for alternate builds or trade-ins. Plus, they're great for collectors.
2. Duplicated Remembrances
Remembrance duplication at Walking Mausoleums is limited per playthrough. NG+ lets you duplicate a different set of boss Remembrances, unlocking more weapons or spells from the same boss without needing to choose.
3. Extra Larval Tears
While Larval Tears aren’t exclusive to NG+, additional ones spawn only in subsequent cycles, making it easier to respec and experiment with new builds without restrictions.
4. Multiple Talisman Variants
Some talismans, like Radagon’s Scarseal and its +2 version, are only available after your first playthrough. The +2 versions of many talismans provide stronger bonuses but are placed deeper in NG+ zones, making them a challenge to obtain.
5. New Bell Bearings
Certain Bell Bearings that weren’t present or obtainable in the first playthrough appear in NG+, especially from enemies or NPCs that don’t drop them until later cycles. These unlock more items from the Twin Maiden Husks.
6. Extra Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones
While the game has a fixed number of Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones per playthrough, NG+ resets the world and allows you to collect them again. This means more maxed-out weapons for alternate builds or PvP sets.
7. Unique Enemy Drops
Some enemies in NG+ have slightly tweaked drop tables, occasionally including weapons or armor that either didn’t drop at all or were extremely rare in your first run.
8. Upgraded Spirit Ashes
While not officially “new” items, several Spirit Ashes can be re-summoned and re-upgraded in NG+, effectively giving you a second copy for different builds or hybrid strategies.
9. Extra Rune Arcs
Again, not exclusive to NG+, but the higher drop rates in NG+ make farming Rune Arcs easier. Combined with Great Runes, they give a significant edge in tougher NG+ encounters.
10. New Ashes of War Locations
Some Ashes of War only spawn in NG+ cycles in different spots than their original locations. Players have reported variants or upgrades to familiar Ashes that weren’t present in NG.
11. Extra Flask of Wondrous Physick Combinations
While the flask itself remains the same, NG+ gives you the chance to find more Crystal Tears and experiment with combinations you may have missed. Some of these only spawn after bosses reappear in new cycles.
12. Second Set of Legendary Armaments
Going for the Legendary Armaments achievement? NG+ is your second chance to collect weapons you may have missed—especially those locked behind questlines that went sideways. Just remember to prepare your inventory wisely so you don’t miss them again.
13. Alternative Dialogue-Based Items
Some quest outcomes change slightly in NG+, especially if you make different choices. Certain NPCs may reward you with items you didn’t get the first time around, such as alternate versions of weapons or key items tied to their arc.
14. Increased Rune Drop Equipment
Items that enhance rune gain become much more valuable in NG+, and some equipment combinations for this purpose become easier to obtain thanks to relaxed farming or duplicate opportunities. This makes NG+ a great time to stockpile or, if you’re looking to save time, consider buy elden ring runes as a boost for testing builds and gear setups.

NG+ isn’t just a repeat—it’s a remix. These new opportunities to gather rare Elden Ring items help deepen the game’s already impressive variety. Whether you’re experimenting with PvP builds, hunting for achievements, or just curious to see what you missed, NG+ offers a compelling reason to dive back in.
