Vicente Gandía Bobal completes the trilogy with the new Bobal Rosa

Bodegas Vicente Gandía expands its range of bobales by creating a new rosé wine: Bobal Rosa . This wine completes the trilogy of iconic bobales made with care by Pepe Hidalgo, technical director of the winery . Both the packaging design and the production have been taken care of from the first moment, they stand out from the firm. This trilogy is made up of Bobal Blanco, Bobal Negro and Bobal Rosa . Three different ways of understanding Bobal, made with grapes that come from old Bobal vines from Finca Hoya de Cadenas , located around 900 meters above sea level. La Fica is located in the shelter of the Sierra de la Bicuerca (Valencia), and is influenced by a continental climate with low ambient humidity and strong thermal oscillations between day and night, which gives the wines freshness and character. Bobal Rosa, the result of careful and slow production at Bodegas Vicente Gandía Bobal Rosa has been made by direct pressing of whole grapes.  

They carry out gentle pressing to extract only 50% of the yield and thus obtain a fine must rich in primary aromas. Before fermenting, they let it macerate for four days with its burbas to enhance its body and roundness. It is fermented at 14ºC for three weeks and, subsequently, remains in contact with its lees for three months, generating a sensation of smoothness and volume in the mouth. This rosé wine is the result of  Job Function Email List careful and slow production, with an attractive image and enveloping color, according to Vicente Gandía. This wine has a very pale pink color with copper reflections. On the nose it expresses delicate aromas of rose, red fruits and grapefruit. In the mouth it is agile, fresh and very pleasant and unctuous to drink. It is the perfect accompaniment to appetizers, light starters such as salads, first courses such as rice and pasta, and also roasted or stewed white meats. This project is the first carried out entirely by Pepe Hidalgo, technical director of the winery.
  


Hidalgo comes from a long line of winemakers and has extensive experience in maximizing the quality of Bobal, the native variety of the Utiel–Requena area.The Valencian Community Wine Competition, organized by Proava, has become a reference competition and the volume of wineries participating is increasing year after year. This year there has been a 20% increase in sample submissions compared to the previous edition, with a total of 230 wines presented. The competition has a prestigious jury in which all levels of the Valencian wine sector are represented. The Tasting Committee of the 6th Official Wine Competition of the Valencian Community has awarded Bodegas Vicente Gandía three gold medals for the following products: Reserve Ceremony , Gold Medal in the category of reserve and grand reserve wines. With grapes from selected plots of the Finca Hoya de Cadenas, where the combination of limestone-clay soils and temperature contrasts in summer, with hot days and cool nights, are ideal for obtaining a wine with intense aromas and excellent concentration. Hoya de Cadenas Chardonnay , Gold Medal in the white wine category.
